A day looking at the coastline of Esperance.

Esperance beaches are famous for their white sands and turquoise waters…and great white sharks. Esperance is also home to the Cyclops wave, said to be the world’s heaviest wave with massive amounts of water unloading on a shallow reef. The surfers wanted a Cyclops in Hawaii but it has two i’s.

West Beach

Shark siren – Some sharks can’t be trusted – they can tell great white lies.

We got exercise on all the sets of steps to the beaches.

Salmon Beach

Limestone and granite on the beaches west of here.

Rocks at Twilight Beach

Pacific gull – bigger than a seagull but smaller than an eagle – a D sized gull.

Beach west of Twilight Beach headland. I could tell you a joke about twilight, but it gets dark pretty fast.

Ten Mile Beach

Good advice because commonsense isn’t always common practice.

11 Mile Beach past this point is a “Clothing Optional” beach. We didn’t venture further as we were a bit clothes-minded.
