Kalbarri National Park (coastal section) – along the coast, wind and wave erosion has exposed the sedimentary layers in the sandstone cliffs that plunge more than 100m in places to the ocean.

At Red Bluff there was a range of wildflowers across the cliff top heath.

Eremophila

Pine-leaved grevillea

Caustic bush

Donkey orchid

Natural Bridge

There were many whales visible from the lookout. A mother and calf came closer to the cliffs.

The calf was very happy continually breaching – there was no blubbering at all from the infant.

Wild rose (Diplolaena)

Fan flower (Scaevola)

The Bigurda Trails follows the cliffs for 8km – a mix of boardwalk and rocky trail over the limestone capping.

Australian kestrel

The wierdest wildflower we have found so far – looks a bit alien compared to the rest.

Pimelea

Grevillea

Calytrix

Shellhouse and Grandstand

Dragon lizard
