The Capricorn Coast looking south from Yeppoon

Double Head at Rosslyn Bay is a remnant of past volcanic activity.

Columnar jointing on the western side of Double Head. The trachyte plugs are between 73 and 79 million years old.

Green tree ants make use siky thread to pull leaves into a ball to make their nests.

The green tree ants are very aggressive and bite readily and repeatedly.
