Giant stinging tree – it was good to see these magnificent trees which are one of the tallest trees in the canopy. The pain from their sting can last for weeks. I grew one in the 1980s in my rainforest revegetation plot in a large backyard backing onto a creek so I know its sting well.

Walk with the Birds track includes an elevated walkway to see birds at all layers with the rainforest.

The Waterfall Way leads from the plateau to Bellingen. It passes two waterfalls on the way down the mountain; this one is Sherrard Falls, the one below is Newells Falls.
