Giant stinging tree – it was good to see these magnificent trees which are one of the tallest trees in the canopy. The pain from their sting can last for weeks. I grew one in the 1980s in my rainforest revegetation plot in a large backyard backing onto a creek so I know its sting well.

The Waterfall Way leads from the plateau to Bellingen. It passes two waterfalls on the way down the mountain; this one is Sherrard Falls, the one below is Newells Falls.
