Our evening at the Deer Park Motor Inn at Armidale commenced with a visit to the resident fallow dear – our new nearest and deer-est friends!

Highlight of the day was a close up view of a wedge-tailed eagle on roadkill near Glen Innes. Very light brown head  and very large (adolescent?) Sorry – no photo – I just concentrated on not hitting him and slowed for other vehicles to make a wide berth.

Wedge-tailed eagles count today : 4     (Plus a White-bellied sea-eagle outside Tenterfield.)
